Former national coach Joachim Löw is planning to return as a club coach about a year after leaving the German national soccer team.
"I would like to train a club again, I would enjoy that," said Löw on the sidelines of the DFB Cup final on Sky.
Before joining the German Football Association (DFB) in 2004 – initially as Jürgen Klinsmann’s assistant, then from 2006 as head coach until 2021 – Löw was in charge of VfB Stuttgart, Fenerbahçe Istanbul and Austria Vienna, among others.
The 62-year-old does not see himself with another national team.
"Once you've been the coach of Germany, it's obviously difficult to find something suitable as a national coach anywhere else," said Löw.
There is nothing concrete about the comeback, but »there are a few inquiries or one or the other offer that I will be dealing with in the next few weeks.
But no decision has been made yet.« However, »the will is there« to return.
The world champion coach from 2014 had left the national team after the round of 16 at the European Championships last summer against England (0: 2) after 15 years as boss.
Some coaching positions in the Bundesliga are vacant
From the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund (separation from Marco Rose), TSG Hoffenheim (separation from Sebastian Hoeneß), VfL Wolfsburg (separation from Florian Kohfeldt), Borussia Mönchengladbach (separation from Adi Hütter) and FC Augsburg (separation from Markus Weinzierl announced farewell) five clubs needed.
However, BVB will probably make Edin Terzić head coach, in Wolfsburg Niko Kovač should take over the responsibility as head coach.
Lucien Favre could return to Borussia Park for Gladbach.
