Grafing's promotion coach Roman Imhoff vacates the coaching position after TSV's "perfect season".
Grafing – The triumphant confusion, the roaring, dancing circle, the crawling caterpillar and, of course, the greeting and thanks poster for the followers who traveled with them.
The football men of TSV Grafing celebrated their promotion to the B-class according to all the rules of the art of celebration.
More than a hundred football fans didn't want to miss the league final in C-Class 6 (Munich district) in the Grasbrunn sports park, where the third-party representatives from TSV Grasbrunn and from Bärenstadt met.
“Grasbrunn was rightly already the champion.
But we still needed this big point so that Steinhöring II couldn't pass us anymore," Grafing's player coach Roman Imhoff explains the initial situation before the last whistle of the round.
Despite the C-Class, Imhoff didn't want a counter or hobby team
As a club veteran, the 31-year-old defensive specialist dared to build a third men's team last season - and was slowed down by the pandemic after just three league games.
Then the second attempt in summer 2021.
"In our first full season, it was important for us to look from game to game and win each of those games."
Imhoff did not want to lead a pure counter or hobby team.
"Even if it's only C-Class in quotation marks, we took it very seriously on match days." In the dressing room, the third-party kickers shouldn't see any difference to the TSV district league team.
The equipment was meticulously prepared, and snacks and fruit were handed out.
Imhoff's mantra: "Never a fun kick.
Never Larifari.
That was our secret recipe.”

With 13 wins and five draws, his squad passed almost all of their competitors in second place with and without a single defeat.
"Performing what was a perfect season for us and not being defeated against Grasbrunn was the right boost of motivation before the game," said Imhoff.
Victory number 14 and the promotion ticket were only on the brink for the equally undefeated champions in the final minutes.
Marinus Kinzl (40th) and Peter Ühlein (52nd penalty) gave the guests a 2-0 lead, Grasbrunn could only shorten the lead (75th).
Perfect season for the Grafinger girls
When the 2:1 success of the runners-up, Grafing's rise, "the perfect season", was official, even the Steinhöring competition who had traveled applauded fairly and appreciatively.
"Then we celebrated extensively and into the early hours of the morning," Roman Imhoff's team felt strange at first, "because we celebrated like there was no tomorrow while the foreman snuck off the system like a beaten dog."

Gradually, during the night of the party, Roman Imhoff announced that his farewell was near.
For family reasons, the Grafinger promotion coach will give up his chair and only experience the B class as a temporary worker on the pitch.
"That's why this evening was very emotional for me.
But the boys gave me the perfect farewell gift with this 2-1 win.” The Grafinger kickers have cried out his (temporary) legacy to Imhoff countless times: “C-Class: never again, never again!”
