FC Bayern have signed right-back Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax Amsterdam.
The Dutchman comes on a free transfer.
Munich - As expected, FC Bayern's first summer transfer comes from the Netherlands.
Noussair Mazraoui has signed a contract with the record champions until 2026.
The club confirmed the transfer on Tuesday.
“Noussair Mazraoui is the next building block to further strengthen our team in a targeted manner.
We have set ourselves big goals again for the new season, and players like Noussair Mazraoui are expanding our options," said CEO Oliver Kahn in a press release.
"I had a good feeling right from the first talks with FC Bayern and I'm happy to be moving to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
I chose this club because I can win the biggest titles here," says Mazraoui himself.
Board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic is proud of the new signing: "We are delighted that Noussair Mazraoui is our first newcomer in this transfer period.
He had offers from all over Europe and chose us because we have a clear plan with him and we want to achieve big goals with him.
Noussair is a player who puts a lot of pressure down the right offensively.
We also like his mentality very much: He burns for this challenge at FC Bayern.”
