Ice cream instead of beer after the Poinger girls' premiere victory

A-CLASS 1 TSV-Poing's young team is no longer an "eternal whipping boy".

Poing – As much as Poing's soccer players have learned to appreciate the artificial turf pitch in the TSV sports center, especially in the winter months;

on their most recent home game day, the extensive artificial green lost some sympathy points in the shimmering midday heat.

"It was really a sweaty thing", snorted Poing's trainer Joachim Schimkus, "precisely because we played nine against nine".

Since the SV WB Allianz Munich contests this A-class round in the so-called flex model, Schimkus started the rotary machine after just fifteen minutes to compensate for the increased running effort.

"Sometimes it was only three against three in midfield, so we really wanted to win our duels in the centre."

After being 1-0 down (23rd), the previously pointless hosts got along better and better with the unfamiliar room layout.

"Technicians like Jenny Pfleiderer or our lightning-fast Fabiola Niedung then knew how to use their freedom," Schimkus applauded Pfleiderer's equalizer before the break (40');

and after the change of sides, the game-deciding double strike by Niedung (50th) and double packer Pfleiderer (55th) to make it 3-1.

Poing then let the Munich resistance melt away from the heat with a safe combination and brought the first point win, the first win of the season sovereign over time.

Schimkus was able to smile relaxed about small discrepancies at the premiere celebration of the newly founded team, which was appropriate for their status and age.

“A mother asked if she should get some ice cream.

I know it differently from my active time in amateur football.

On the other hand, I would have had reservations about putting a few liters of beer in the locker room for the 17-year-old.”

TSV Poing got a taste for it

Should Poing have another reason to celebrate on Ascension Day, after the last home game of the season against SG Dreistern (kick-off 2 p.m.), it is likely that the appropriate tasting has been agreed in advance.

“In any case, the first win gave us a taste for it,” said Schimkus.

“It was important not to leave the season as the eternal whipping boy.

I'm really proud of the girls for never losing faith and I take my hat off to the great atmosphere within the team.” bj
