Robert Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern Munich.
Apparently, the considerations surrounding Erling Haaland led to the break.
Munich – Robert Lewandowski has broken with Bayern.
The Pole wants to leave his long-standing club early, despite the current agreement, by 2023.
Bayern don't want to let go of their goal guarantee - a mud fight is imminent.
But how did it get to the point that one of the most important relationships in world football fell apart in such a way?
Apparently, there was a “key moment” last year.
Name: Robert Lewandowski |
Age: August 21, 1988 (age 33), Warsaw, Poland |
Location: Storm |
Club: FC Bayern (contract until 2023) |
Market value: 50 million euros |
Robert Lewandowski wanted to "found an era" at Bayern Munich - now he just wants to leave
"Now we have to found an era!" Lewandowski whispered in the ear of the then CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Less than two years ago, on August 23, 2020, FC Bayern Munich and Robert Lewandowski were still inseparable.
On that day both were at the goal of their dreams and won the Champions League 1-0 against PSG in the final in Lisbon.
"FC Bayern is history for Robert Lewandowski!
Robert would like to leave FC Bayern after eight years together in which he gave the club everything," said advisor Pini Zahavi recently.
The Israeli went one step further and explained: "Robert has felt disrespected by those in charge for months, that's the truth.
FC Bayern did not lose the player Lewandowski, but the person Robert.” The dream marriage between Bayern and Lewandowski broke up.

Robert Lewandowski: Salihamidzic's announcement about the Haaland transfer led to a break
The name Erling Haaland apparently played a major role in why Lewandowski absolutely wants to leave Bayern and want to switch to FC Barcelona, as reported by
Sport Bild
.
Just under a year after the CL victory and a few weeks after Lewy had surpassed Gerd Müller's Bundesliga record with 41 goals, a subsequently thoughtless statement by FCB sports director Hasan Salihamidzic poisoned the relationship.

"60 games, 60 goals, you have to look at that, otherwise we would be complete amateurs," said Brazzo on August 8, 2021 in the
Sport1 double
pass when asked about the then BVB miracle striker Erling Haaland, who is moving to Manchester City this summer.
It is clear that Bayern have to deal with such a talent from the Bundesliga, but Lewandowski was angry about the search for his successor.
Even then he is said to have thought about a change.
In retrospect, Salihamidzic should have been more cautious about Haaland.
After all, the Bayern bosses must have been aware from the past that Lewandowski quickly seems irritated.
Especially after his change of advisor to Pini Zahavi in 2018.

FC Bayern: Lewandowski asked Thiago about Barcelona
It was clear to Lewandowski, he no longer felt wanted or valued.
Since Bayern were apparently still working on a Haaland transfer in the background, the Pole, for example, said goodbye to the club's internal championship celebration after the win against BVB after just over an hour.
Lewandowski has been on vacation since the end of the season, there is radio silence to the Bayern bosses.
His goal is a summer move to FC Barcelona, which is why he is said to have asked ex-FCB colleague Thiago.
The Liverpool star comes from Barca youth and knows coach Xavi, with whom he once played.
Is Lewandowski even going on strike from Bayern Munich?
