Good news for Boris Becker.

The tennis legend was transferred to another prison.

Bye, bye Tough Jail in Wandsworth.

Munich/London – Boris Becker leaves Wandsworth prison and is transferred!

His media lawyer Oliver Moser confirmed the report to

RTL

.

From now on, the tennis legend is no longer housed in south London, but in "HM Prison Huntercombe".

This is an 80 minute drive west of London.

The track is in Nuffield, in Oxfordshire, England.

According to

RTL

, Becker belongs to category C there.

Boris Becker: Get out of tough prison!

Tennis legend was relocated

In the Knallhart prison in Wandsworth, Becker was still in category B.

That's good news for the former Wimbledon champion!

Because in category C most British inmates are accommodated.

It offers the possibility of rehabilitation.

As the British government writes, this means that inmates should develop skills there so that they can be reintegrated into the community after their release.

In Wandsworth, Becker was in category B because all the inmates who had just been found guilty by the judge, just like the 54-year-old, are listed there.

In Wandsworth, the conditions are said to have been particularly tough and brutal.

Now Becker can look forward to an apparently better prison.

So far, little is known about HM Prison Huntercombe.

Becker has to serve a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence because he was found guilty of delaying bankruptcy.

In the new prison, however, it should probably be a bit more pleasant than in the prison that was run for juvenile delinquents until 2010.
