Robert Lewandowski's move to FC Barcelona seems quite opaque to outsiders.
Now Manuel Neuer and Uli Hoeneß join the transfer chaos.
Munich - Is the planned separation of Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern still clean - or will the transfer theater finally become a mud fight between the two-time world footballer and the record champions (all successes of FC Bayern)?
Anyone who reads between the lines of Lewandowski's advisor Pini Zahavi's latest statements might even get the idea that the exceptional striker might want to go on strike from Munich - should the club refuse his move to FC Barcelona.
FC Bayern boss Hoeneß will not release Lewandowski "prematurely".
"Of course you can keep Robert for another year, to be fair he has a contract until 2023, but I wouldn't recommend that to you," Zahavi
recently revealed to
Bild .
The statements made by the Lewandowski manager also make honorary president and club patron Uli Hoeneß sit up and take notice: “They allegedly want Lewandowski, six months ago they were still in debt with 1.3 billion euros.
They have to be artists, in Germany you would have been insolvent for a long time," Hoeneß rumbled on
RTL
and added: "I don't currently know anyone at Bayern Munich who will release Robert from his contract early."
Bayern captain Manuel Neuer was more diplomatic during the DFB training camp in Marbella.
"I think Robert Lewandowski has a clear vision, just like the club has a clear vision.
He still has a year's contract, so he's tied to the club for the time being," Neuer said in a forgiving manner.
However, if Lewandowski wants to leave the club, the captain thinks there will be talks and the club will have to weigh up: "Does it make sense to sell Lewy or do you keep him?
The question is, if you sell him, what signing do you have for the forward position?

FC Bayern captain Neuer is confident
In this matter, however, the goalkeeper relies entirely on the leaders around CEO Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic: "The club has always put together a good squad with a top team, so I'm quite sure that we'll make the right decisions again will score for FC Bayern!”
While Lewandowski's future remains unclear, Neuer will stay with the club at least until the summer of 2024.
Interesting: The fact that his contract, which originally expired on June 30, 2023, was "only" extended by one year was based on the national player's wish.
"It's still a while until 2024, I'm 36 now, so that's why Hasan Salihamidzic and I agreed on that.
Of course, I don't want to play if I'm no longer feeling well," revealed Neuer in Marbella.
