Nikola Jokic, Yannis Antokompo and Luka Doncic, the three most prominent Europeans in the NBA, received official appreciation tonight (Tuesday through Wednesday) as they entered the league's top five this season.

Alongside the three, Jason Taitum and Devin Booker were also selected, both for the first time.

This is the first time since 1954/55 that the five players in the top five this season are players aged 27 and under.

Jukic, the league's MVP as I recall, was selected as the center of the first team, ahead of Joel Ambid.

The Philadelphia Center, hoping to win the MVP title, ended up only in the second five of the season.

The two players also stood for selection as forwards, and were some of the voters who placed them side by side, but in the end Ambide was left out.

The one who won the most votes is Antocompo, the only one who won all 100 elections.

Doncic entered the top five of the season for the third time before the age of 24, only the third in the history of the league to do so.

Taitum is the first Boston player to be included in the top five since Kevin Garnett in 2007/08.

The second five includes Ambide alongside Stephen Kerry, Ja Morant, Durant and Damar Drusen.

The top five: Chris Paul, Trey Young, LeBron James, Pascal Siakam and Carl Anthony Towns.

For LeBron it's the 18th time he's in this season's election, and he has broken the all-time record (18 times), ahead of Krim Abdul Jabbar, Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan (15 each).

Following the selection of them - Boker and Towns will be able to sign new contracts, which will give them a salary of $ 211 million for four years
