Paris FC: many changes to expect in the transfer window

2022-05-25T06:54:06.809Z

The Parisian club must leave for a new season in Ligue 2 where there will only be two climbs. The staff and the leaders drew the

After the big disappointment of the play-offs against Sochaux (2-1 defeat at home), Paris FC, which resumed training on June 20, will be active during the transfer window.

If it has 24 players under contract, the Parisian club will downsize and recruit at least 8 players.

“Of the current workforce, I want to keep about two-thirds.

We have players at the end of their cycle and others who have not met our expectations.

We are not going to keep them forever”, specifies Thierry Laurey who also wants to bet on experience: “Our will will always be to get out of the young people and to try a few bets.

But, next to them, more profiles with bottle are needed.

The guards: Demarconnay for a 15th season

This year, there should be no debate.

Author of a huge season, Vincent Demarconnay will extend his contract for a "15/40" (Editor's note: a 15th season at the PFC for the one who will be 40 years old in April 2023).

The Croatian Ivan Filipovic, who still has two years of contract, should therefore stay and be content with a role of lining.

As for the young Obed Nkambadio, 19, he is considering a loan (National, National 2) so that he can play above the N3 (reserve level).

The defenders: extending Chergui, a priority

At the end of the contract, Samir Chergui, 23, author of a first full season in L2 (34 games) is called upon.

But he and his agents have an extension offer in hand.

He should give his answer within the week.

Paris FC also expects to be asked for its youngsters Jaouen Hadjam and Ousmane Camara, who will have a big showcase with the Euro of the France U19 team in June.

A transfer at a good price can be envisaged for Hadjam.

Trained at the club, Axel Bamba (one year contract) is also on the way out.

Ousmane Kanté's injury (ruptured Achilles tendon), absent until January, will force Paris FC to recruit an experienced central defender.

A right side is also expected as well as a left side if Hadjam leaves.

Maxime Bernauer and Florent Hanin are under contract.

The young Yoan Koré and Loup-Diwan Gueho, professional trainees, should be integrated into the L2 group.

Thibaut Campanini (10 games in two seasons) is not retained.

The cases of Hugo Gambor (0 game in 2 years) and Youssoupha Ndiaye, seriously injured in an ankle and who has not played for a year, are not settled.

Cyril Mandouki, Jonathan Iglesias and Moustapha Name are all under contract.

Unhappy during the dam (missed penalty, red card), the African champion with Senegal has solicitations.

But Paris FC, which made him an extension proposal, hopes to keep him.

He will not retain Yohan Demoncy (2 years of contract) who did not win this season.

Same for Saïd Arab, whose loan to Bastia-Borgo (0 game) was a failure.

Injured in January, the promising Check-Oumar Diakité never found the team and ended the season in N3.

A transfer is likely.

Mahamé Siby on loan from Strasbourg (L1), author of a great season, still has a year of contract with the Alsatian club but he has other contacts.

However, the former Bobigny player is very attached to the Paris region.

Even if it is small, the leaders of the PFC will try their luck to try to keep it.

Depending on the departures, one or two new midfielders are therefore expected.

The attackers: a big project with the injury of Boutaïb

Khalid Boutaïb, victim of a rupture of the cruciate ligaments, will not return until December or January.

His injury forces Paris FC to recruit a center forward of his profile.

For the moment, only Julien Lopez who extended for a year in January and Warren Caddy seem certain to stay.

It's less certain for Migouel Alfarela despite his two-year contract.

Morgan Guilavogui, 11 goals this season, has changed status and will be in demand.

But his possible adductor operation should keep him away from the field until August.

For players on loan, Lamine Gueye returns to Metz, relegated to L2 where Frédéric Antonetti is counting on him.

Paris FC will not exercise the purchase option negotiated with Cercle Bruges when loaning Alamami Gory.

But if the former Le Havre, often injured this season, finds an agreement with his Belgian club which no longer counts on him, there is a possibility that he will return.

Loaned at the end of January in Italian series B to Cosenza with a purchase option (€1.2 million), Gaëtan Laura no longer fits into Thierry Laurey's plans.

So it should be sold.

Lamine Diaby Fadiga, who should have gone on loan to Orléans (National) if he had not been injured in January, will not be retained either, just like Patrick Koffi.

Under these conditions, at least three attackers (a center forward and two quick side players) will have to be recruited.
