The search for a coach at Borussia Dortmund is over: Edin Terzic is the new (old) coach.
Marco Rose's end caused a shock for BVB star Julian Brandt.
Update from May 24, 1:15 p.m .:
The separation between Marco Rose and Borussia Dortmund surprised some – including BVB player Julian Brandt.
Even before the new (old) coach Edin Terzic was introduced, Brandt spoke on Saturday (May 21) in the podcast “Kicker meets DAZN” about the dismissal, which had been announced the day before.
"I think I was completely in shock for ten minutes because I didn't expect it at all," revealed the 26-year-old.
He did not know that a separation was in the room or imminent.
A friend sent him a screenshot, and according to Brandt, he replied with the words: "That's from Postillon, isn't it?" Postillon publishes satirical articles on the Internet.
Brandt's friend finally said no and replied that it came from BVB's side.
"Then I went on there and there it really was.
I expected a lot of things that could happen in the next few days, but that's crazy," said the BVB player, but shortly afterwards pointed out the "fast pace of football".
"In the end, it's not my job to judge, but I was surprised," he added.
He had the feeling that it was a "long-term story" between Borussia Dortmund and Marco Rose.

Edin Terzic is the new coach of Borussia Dortmund!
The club confirmed this on Monday.
The 39-year-old takes over as head coach of the black and yellow for the second time and receives a contract until 2025.
"We held several intensive discussions with Edin Terzic last weekend and are convinced that this personnel decision is the right one for BVB.
Edin knows our club, the environment, a large part of the team and knows what adjustments we want to make in order to be able to offer our fans successful football.
The 2022/23 season is characterized by a new start in sport,” says the designated sports director Sebastian Kehl.
Edin Terzic emphasizes: “By now, many people should know how important BVB is in my life.
I would therefore like to sincerely thank Aki Watzke, Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl for their great trust and for transferring this great responsibility.
We will give everything every day for the success of the team and the entire club."

Dortmund – The news of the separation between Marco Rose and BVB, which tz.de also reported, came as a surprise to many.
On Friday (May 20) the club announced that the coach will no longer be on the sidelines of the black and yellow team in the coming season.

As soon as Rose's departure was known, the discussions started as to who would now take over the coaching scepter at Borussia Dortmund.
After all, the trainer market in the Bundesliga is currently full.

The name Edin Terzic was mentioned early on as the successor to Marco Rose at BVB, as RUHR24 reported.

What also clearly speaks for Terzic: He knows the club – as a fan and as an employer.
He used to stand in the south stand himself, but since 2010 – with breaks at Besiktas Istanbul and West Ham – he has stood on the sidelines as a youth and assistant coach.
After Marco Rose's arrival, the club were smart enough to keep the 39-year-old close and gave him the post of technical director.
He is the clear favorite for the runner-up position, and several media have already reported that he will take over.

BVB is looking for a new coach: Florian Kohfeldt gained Bundesliga experience in Wolfsburg and Bremen

Apparently some Dortmund fans were upset about the upcoming change of coach.
Adi Hütter was part of the three-man change last season: when Marco Rose went from Gladbach to Dortmund, he switched from Eintracht Frankfurt to the "foals".
Oliver Glasner took over the club from Main.
Only Glasner is still in the office of the new club.
After Terzic, it is probably the most frequently used name when it comes to the Rose successor.
However, he will probably lose out to the original Borussia player Edin Terzic.

Despite his success with the national team, it is unlikely that he will become head coach at BVB.
His work as a talent coach is very much appreciated by the black and yellow.
His contract runs until June 2025.
