Game No. 4 in the Western Conference Finals in the NBA, between the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors, took place under signs of mourning.
The game was held in Texas, where just hours before the Jump Ball, 19 students were massacred in one of the state's schools.
At the end of the game, the guest coach, Steve Kerr, referred to this, as can be seen in the attached tweet.

Kerr was not the only one.
The first to respond was Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, also on Twitter.
King James demanded: "Change."
There simply has to be change!
HAS TO BE !!
😔😔😔😔🥺🥺🥺🥺 .. Praying to the heavens above to all with kids these days in schools.

The list of stunned NBA players has grown, and here you can see the reaction of Phoenix Suns coordinator, veteran Chris Paul, who said, "We must do better for our country."
Absolutely tragic.
We have to do better than a country !!
Me and my family are sending prayers to the families affected today at Robb Elementary 🙏🏾

Even the Boston Celtics star Jason Taitum, who is currently battling in the Eastern Conference Finals, did not remain indifferent and tweeted: "My prayers with the kids ... it's collapsing."
Breaks my heart hearing this news, no parent should ever have to lose there child.
Praying for the families of those kids and the teacher 🙏🏽❤️… this is devastating

Jordan McRae, of the Detroit Pistons, joined in and tweeted with a torn heart, early in the event, even before the final number of murders became known: "It's morbid. It's beyond morbid. These are real babies."
14 kids this is sick beyond sick.
Kids come on man babies
