After the successful promotion to the national league, a very special sporting end to the season awaits VfB Forstinning.

Forstinning - In the "Finale dahoam" of the district cup, VfB welcomes the neighboring club SV Anzing on their own sports grounds on tomorrow's public holiday at 3.30 p.m.

In the previous semi-finals, the district league champions VfB had a hard time 4:3 goals at district classist TSV Zorneding, while SV Anzing (district league) defeated another neighboring club, TSV Poing (A class), 2:0 eliminated.

SV Anzing: Finale will be a "nice end to the season"

Forstinning can not deny the favorite position as a still district league against the district league, but the SVA would like to show resistance.

"Everything is possible.

We might win one out of ten games against Forstinning and we have to catch that,” Benno Stadler, press spokesman and captain of the Anzing football team, is hoping for a surprise.

“We are humble but not afraid.

Even if Stadler rates the personal situation of his team much less positively compared to the preliminary round, together with the Forstinningers, the Anzinger defender is of course hoping for a corresponding stream of visitors, also in view of the holiday and the local rivalry between the two clubs.

The timing of the kick-off, the supporting program offered and the good weather forecast should meet the requirements for a large crowd of spectators.

Three finals, one band, lots of atmosphere (program for season finale)

Before and after the men's final between VfB Forstinning and SV Anzing, there's a lot going on at the Forstinninger sports grounds.

At 11 a.m., the first sporting event will be the district cup final for the C juniors between SG Baldham/Parsdorf/Anzing U14 and SG Bruck/Glonn/Oberpframmern/Moosach.

Half of the district is already represented in Forstinning in the morning, where VfB is the organizer and the BLSV, with its district chairman Ingrid Golanski, is the organizer.

Then at 1 p.m., JFG Salzburg and SG Ebersberg/Steinhöring will play the final of the A-Juniors.

The semifinals were already hard fought in this age group.

While JFG Salzburg prevailed on penalties at SG Glonn/Oberpframmern/Moosach, SG Ebersberg/Steinhöring won 0:1 at TSV Zorneding.

The final pairings are accompanied from the start by the technical and stadium announcer team from VfB Forstinning, and Thomas Letsch, as the lessee of the sports home, is responsible for the catering at various points in the sports grounds.

In addition to the terrace of the "11ers", there will also be a serving trolley from the Schweiger brewery and barbecue stations on the hard court and next to the field.

The innkeeper is supported by the district league team of VfB Forstinning.

And right after the award ceremony for the men's final (kick-off 3:30 p.m.) at around 5:30 p.m., the band Six Across will entertain football fans and Father's Day trippers on the hard court well into the night.

Anzinger prefer not to say anything about previous cup successes

In any case, VfB Forstinning would like to finally bring the district cup back to Forstinning after two lost finals.

In 2019, the team of the then acting coach Ivica Coric surprisingly lost to ATSV Kirchseeon, in 2017 Forstinning had to bow to TSV Poing with a weakened team.

In 2010, the future state league team last won the district cup.

A query to Stadler regarding the cup successes of Anzinger in the past did not provide any clear information.
