After the ugly confrontation that took place last week during the European Windsurfing Championships that ended on Sunday in Italy, between Katie Spichkov - former world runner-up - Noy Darihan, (first published in "Israel Today"), the latter was summoned today (Thursday) to a disciplinary committee by the union .

"Israel Today" has learned that Spichkov claims that she allegedly received shouts and curses from Madheran who broke into her during one of the championship days at the competition site, not during the competition itself at sea.

The person who was present at the event is the coach of the women's team, the Olympic medalist from Beijing, Shachar Zubari.

According to reports, the event itself took place on the eve of the medal cruise, after the two ended their participation, when he arrived at the bar and even apparently the event was also documented.

This is not the first time there has been an incident between the two, when two years ago at the Australian World Championships, Darihan claimed that Spichkov blocked her with a leap, which earned her the gold medal and eventual ticket to the Tokyo Olympics, after eventually ranking third and winning a bronze.

Spichkov, who won the silver and silver medals at the 2019 World Championships and European Championships in 2020, traveled to the Tokyo Olympics, which were postponed for a year because of the Corona, where she finished sixth overall.

Last year, Darihan filed a lawsuit against former women's national team coach Pierre Lockett in a tort claim for NIS 569,750, following his relationship with Spitchkov, during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic campaign, a system that she allegedly harmed. 

Spichkov's spokesman said: "Our response will be brought at the appropriate time," and many attempts to obtain Darihan's response were unsuccessful.

The boating association said: "The association will look into the incident."
