Ben Shehar, a pioneer of Maccabi Haifa, underwent surgery on his injured foot yesterday (Wednesday).
The striker, who broke his leg in training last week, underwent surgery at Assuta Hospital, with doctors estimating that within six to eight weeks he will be able to return to full activity.
For Shahar, this is the first operation of his career, with recovery without surgery lasting according to experts for about three months.
Even before the surgery, Shehar also consulted with the medical staff of the London luxury group Chelsea, who advised him to do the surgery.

In another matter, the team players will go on vacations today, with the foreign players going on hometown vacations.
Charon Shari and Ali Muhammad will rest and not be with their teams, in light of the long season that has passed for them.
Muhammad asked the team leaders for a rest and was answered in the affirmative.
The one who will be flying back home tonight is Jose Rodriguez, who has not met with the club's heads yet.
Coach Barak Bachar is undecided about the Spaniard due to the desire to add three new foreigners.
After making a final decision, it will become clear whether Rodriguez will stay in Haifa.
Those who will not stay in the team and actually broke up last night are Goodsway Donio and Michael Alphonse.
By the way, Donio is interesting to quite a few teams in the Premier League, but he will have to decide whether he wants to stay in Israel or return to Denmark, where he is returning.
