Boris Becker was transferred to a new prison.
What is changing for the tennis legend in Huntercombe?
Nuffield - After only three weeks, Boris Becker is allowed to leave the notorious Wandsworth prison!
In London's horror prison, the German tennis legend was only able to leave the sparsely equipped cell for one hour a day.
Wandsworth is known for poor hygiene, disgusting food and little freedom.
Now the daily routine changes a little.
Becker was transferred to Huntercombe Prison in County Oxfordshire.
What does that mean specifically?
Boris Becker: About 480 fellow inmates in the new prison
Huntercombe is a former juvenile prison but currently has around 480 foreign adults held there, all convicted of minor crimes.
This was confirmed by Becker's lawyer, Oliver Moser, from the
Bild
newspaper.
The prison is classified as category C.
To classify: Category A is for serious criminals and includes the maximum security standards, in Category D even free access is allowed in some cases.
Becker's new jail: no "luxury prison"
"You have to imagine the cells like a single room in a cheap hotel - with a washing facility, toilet and a window that is not barred and can even be opened," reports Ulrich Oppold from
RTL
.
As a result, the air is much better than in Wandsworth.
Becker can also do a lot of sport and make unlimited calls.

Becker is still in the wing for newcomers, but Becker's lawyer Giles Bark-Jones assumes he will be transferred to his own cell after a week.
At the latest then, visits should also be allowed - his mother Elvira is eagerly waiting to see her son again.
The prison's website also mentions various training opportunities.
Painting and bricklaying courses are also offered.
However, according to legal expert Paul Vogel, Huntercombe should not be seen as a “luxury prison”.
In an interview with
Bunte.de
, he states that the prison conditions on the island are sometimes very different from those in Germany.
Nevertheless, Huntercombe is a "significant improvement over Wandsworth."

Huntercombe Prison: Fitness, Arts and Film Course
The prison has a sports hall, artificial turf pitches and a gym.
According to media reports, sports can be done every day.
There are also special campaigns, such as a poetry competition recently.
The inmates can attend painting courses, and their works of art are displayed in the corridors.
Some win the Koestler Award, a prize given annually since 1962 for inmate artwork.
The paintings are sold at exhibitions.
Huntercombe shares some actions on Twitter.
Last year there was a bake sale, the proceeds were donated to a good cause.
A film and interview course was also offered, with participants ultimately creating short films for the prison's own TV station.
There is also a library in the building.
Some reports of Becker's behavior at Wandsworth prison appear to be untrue.
Becker's lawyer cleared up the speculation in a TV interview.
