Miguel Vitor, who was called up to the Israeli team for the first time today (Thursday), wrote today on his Facebook account: "It is a great pride for me that I was chosen to represent the Israeli team for the first time. I am very happy about it and will do everything I can to take advantage of this opportunity."
Vitor is expected to receive an Israeli passport in the coming days and be part of coach Alon Hazan's squad in both games against Iceland and this one against Albania in the League of Nations.
The 32-year-old brake completed six years at Hapoel Beer Sheva and he and his family became very connected to Israel during this period.
Vitor played for Portugal's youth teams and increased his ability to wear the young U21 team uniform 14 times.
His last match in a national uniform was in young Portugal's 0-0 draw against the Netherlands in May 2010, in a friendly match.

Kleiman's story (Photo: screenshot, Instagram Boris Kleiman)
Whoever was not invited to the roster was Boris Kleiman.
The Greek goalkeeper Volos posted a story shortly after the staff was published, where he wrote: "The plan is not to retire. It's to retire from working for other people."
In free translation: "The plan is not to retire, but to retire from working for other people."
Of course it is impossible to know if this is a message related to the publication of the faculty.
