Four painful departures at EHC Klostersee - U20 junior Dengl moves up
Grafing – The next squad decisions at EHC Klostersee have been made.
In addition to four departures, the Grafinger new or re-upper league team reported a “fixed” mover” from their own talent pool.
While all-rounder Florian Engel, striker Jens Haller and defender Maximilian Pröls will end their active ice hockey careers and the young defender Korbinian Eberwein will join the cooperation partner EHC AibDogs Bad Aibling, young attacker Julian Dengl from the EHC-U20 will join the third division team Red and white top.
"Julian is a very talented, tall offensive player who got a taste of adult ice hockey last season," commented EHC coach Dominik Quinlan on the inclusion of the 18-year-old striker in the team, who has been with the Klosterseer team since the U17s runs and was previously trained in the offspring of EC Bad Tölz and SC Reichersbeuern.
Eberwein moves to Bad Aibling
The door is always open for other talents from the in-house U20, provided they recommend themselves.

Defender Proels, who moved to EV Moosburg eight years ago for a short guest appearance and after his return took part in the new start in the district league with two championships and three promotions, stops after 127 competitive appearances for the EHC.
"Players like Maxi, who are never in the foreground but also don't spread a bad mood in the dressing room when they don't have much ice time, make up the team spirit," says head coach Quinlan.
A big thank you also goes to the veteran Haller, who joined the Schwenninger ERC for family reasons while still a junior and after a short taster session (2009/10) has been an integral part of the Grafinger Offensive for nine years.
After 252 compulsory games, each with 34 goals and assists, the family man now wants to step back in favor of his wife and daughter.
"With Jens we are losing one of our most experienced players, who was an important component on the ice even when he was outnumbered."
"A dream" that it ends like this
With "Angie" Engel, another "irreplaceable" is leaving the ship, as head coach Quinlan put it.
The 32-year-old secondary school teacher explains that his decision was made early on and long before the playoffs.
"The time required alone alongside a full-time job is enormous and is entirely at the expense of the family."
"It's no longer possible and it was clear to me regardless of the league," said Engel about his retirement after a total of 99 games for the EHC and an outstanding 107 scorer points (51 goals and 56 assists) - with two interruptions in the last seven years.
