TSV Bernbeuren is fighting for direct relegation in the district league 2.

For this, the team, which is a guest in Moorenweis itself, needs help from many sides.

Bernbeuren – If at some point a chronicler of TSV Bernbeuren puts the story of the 2021/22 season on paper, he will not be able to finish because of all the topics.

A chapter will certainly be dedicated to Marco Schmitt, the new coach and successor to Daniel Deli.

As agreed, the coach spent the first few days of the game on vacation in Turkey and quickly threw in the towel on his return: due to being overworked.

His father Ludwig should also be given his own section.

After all, during his son's absence, he led the team to the top of the district league 2. How would TSV have continued with him?

Martin Kindermann also wrote a remarkable episode.

Until the winter break, the coach from distant Eberfing looked after the team out of pure solidarity with his former students from the secondary school in Peiting.

When he no longer continued his commitment for family reasons, Roman Lerchenmüller and Michael Boos took over the reins.

The coaching tandem is still waiting for its first win.

The terrible series of injuries and the pandemic, which caused the entire squad to be infected with the corona virus this year with the exception of three footballers, would also have to be worked through.

The eleven, who in the past lived mainly from their physique, lacked strength in the last few minutes.

TSV Bernbeuren still has the chance of staying up in the league

The real highlight of this story, however, is that despite all the misery and a black run of 13 games in a row without a win, the team from Auerberg still has hope and the realistic possibility of achieving the class goal.

"If you have the chance until the last day of the game, it must mean something," says Michael Boos.

The TSV coach does not bring fate or any metaphysical powers into play, but the constellation in the relegation zone is enough to believe in supernatural forces that are putting on a macabre spectacle.

Both TSV Bernbeuren, SV Mammendorf and SC Maisach have 25 points before the season finale.

If the accounts of the three rivals for staying up in the league still show an identical amount after the last match day, the direct comparison of the competitors in a special table comes into effect.

SV Mammendorf would hold the class with 7 points and 7:6 goals, while Bernbeuren (5 and 8:7) in twelfth place and Maisach (4 and 7:9) in thirteenth place would have to be relegated.

The TSV would then meet SC Wessling, the sports club would meet FC Wildsteig/Rottenbuch.

Three teams fight for a place in the safe midfield

"Mammendorf must not win," says Boos, the one component that must be fulfilled in any case so that his team avoids relegation.

Because the direct comparison with the rival goes to the sports club, which has scored four points from the two games.

The game plan says that the Mammendorfers have to play at TSV Altenstadt on Sunday (3 p.m.).

Boos has not yet found out whether the neighbor from the Weilheim-Schongau district is helping out.

"I'm not going to get involved," he clarifies.

"That's an issue for the board." But he sincerely hopes that the Altenstadters will say goodbye to their audience with a home win at the end of the season.

However, the Bernbeuren must still keep an eye on what is happening in Maisach.

The SCM has to deal with the U21 of the newly crowned district league champions SC Oberweikertshofen.

In this encounter, Boos also expects the bottom of the table to do the job with all due seriousness.

"The boys want to gamble", he is convinced that the people from Oberweikertshofen will play as boldly as ever.

However, the importance of the game will be irrelevant if the Bernbeuren team win their away game in Moorenweis on Sunday (3 p.m.).

"Every week we play with a team that isn't well-rehearsed and is therefore on the gums," Boos makes it clear that the task at the bottom of the table and relegated will not be a sure-fire success.

Especially since the team has forgotten how winning works in the past few weeks and months.

The last time this was on October 17, 2021.

The opponent was then called TSV Moorenweis.

A remedy could be provided by their own fans, whose support is important.

"I hope that many will come with us and we'll tear something together," the coach asks for help.

Maybe the Bernbeurener don't even have to get three points in Moorenweis.

Should Mammendorf lose in Altenstadt and Maisach not get beyond a draw against Oberweikertshofen, a draw is enough for TSV to stay up in the league.

What would probably be the culmination of this curious and at times cynical season: Bernbeuren stays in the league and did not even have to win a single game this year.

What a feast for the chronicler!
