With a controlled offensive to success: VfB Hallbergmoos wants to take the next step

In the relegation second leg against Fortuna Regensburg, VfB Hallbergmoos wants to use its good starting position.
Personally, there is good and bad news.

– At least now everyone in the VfB Hallbergmoos football team knows why SV Fortuna Regensburg scored 98 goals in the Landesliga Mitte.
Nevertheless, the Hallbergers achieved a very good result in the first leg in Regensburg on Wednesday with a 2-2 win.
The fans could see a great spectacle in the relegation second leg of this first of two rounds for the Bayernliga whereabouts (Saturday, 4 p.m., Stadion am Airport).
In the meantime, the Hallbergmoos coach Matthias Strohmaier has processed the Regensburg equalizer at the last second and makes it clear that you have an extremely strong opponent in front of you.
The dangerous offensive department of the national league is apparently completely on the list of the Bavarian league club SV Donaustauf, who after a 0:6 against Greuther Fürth II can check off the promotion to the regional league after the first leg.

Regensburg's cauldron is a thing of the past - and now it's getting hot in Hallbergmoos.
The club expects more than 800 spectators, and Strohmaier says "that we are now taking our fans with us".
He thinks of the league home win against Deisenhofen, when the team was physically on the last groove and the supporters in the stands provided the necessary support.
SV Fortuna had this outside help on Wednesday – now it's up to the VfB fans to counter emotionally and in a spirited manner.
Strohmaier's difficult task is to find the right balance between game control and offense.
As long as there is a draw, Regensburg must do something - and that will give VfB Hallbergmoos space, as it did in the first leg.
On the downside, managing the score against this offensive can quickly become a razor ride.
The VfB coach knows about this balancing act.

Furthermore, Strohmaier has to come up with something for the VfB attack, because after Kaan Aygün (torn cruciate ligament) Simon Werner will probably also be missing.
This leaves Fabian Diranko, Tobias Krause, who is getting stronger and stronger, and Daniel Bauer in front.
Marc Gundel was brought in from the second team for the “Crying bar option”.
But one thing is clear: not much can happen on the offensive if you are optimistic and expect two more relegation games within the next seven days.
Strohmaier: "We're a bit too good."
Compared to the first game, Philipp Beetz and Carl Opitz return to the squad.
This means that VfB has more defensive alternatives.
In Regensburg, the Hallbergmoosers played for an hour with a back three and then with a back four until the end.

But the coach also tells his boys that you shouldn't allow yourself to be provoked like in the first leg.
Andreas Kostorz saw the yellow-red card five minutes before the end - for an unnecessary foul when four VfB kickers had actually caught the opponent.
In addition, there is the equally unnecessary foul, which led to compensation with the last action.
Strohmaier would also like to see this kind of rip-off from his footballers: “We had three scenes in Regensburg in which penalties could have been awarded, but we are a bit too good.
Where others drop and scream loudly, we try to keep running somehow.”
The possible final opponent is still completely open.
State league team TSV Neudrossenfeld narrowly won the first leg against Bayern league team SV Seligenporten 1-0.
