Decisive game for the district league: SC Kirchdorf can still successfully end a weak season.
Kirchdorf
– In the district league relegation, the twelfth of the league from SC Kirchdorf and FC Moosinning II, second in district class 4, will meet on Saturday.
The game kicks off at 6 p.m. at the FC Schwaig sports facility.
The way of the two opponents was sometimes adventurous.
SC Kirchdorf was already relegated to the penultimate district league match day up to the 89th minute.
Only a late goal by BSG Taufkirchen in the game against TSV Au brought SCK a relegation final in the Hallertau to the season finale.
There, the home team looked like the sure winner for a half and deservedly led before Kirchdorf turned the game around and secured the relegation place at the last minute.
"I hope that this time we won't have our pants full again from minute one and be able to counter straight away," wishes SCK trainer Andreas Apold.
"And don't make it so easy for the opponent, because I don't feel like chasing after a deficit again."
FC Moosinning II rarely went behind this season.
For the entire first half of the season, it looked as if the championship could only be won by player-coach Bene Thumbs.
But in the final spurt of the season, Moosinning ran out of breath, and on the penultimate matchday, after a resounding 5-0 defeat at SC Moosen/Vils, the long-distance duel for the title was decided in favor of SV Eichenried.
The district league reserve from Moosinning still wants to rise.
The team consists mostly of young kickers who have been with the club since they were young.
Top scorer Zeno Fendt (15 goals) played for the U19s last season.
SC Kirchdorf is not afraid that the opponent will strengthen their squad from the first team for the relegation.
Nevertheless, coach Apold warns: "Moosinning is a compact team that we must not run into the open knife.
It's important that we're good at the back.
But of course we have to make sure that we play our game and don't just hope for mistakes from the opponent, but put pinpricks ourselves."
In any case, department head Stefan Lohmeier is optimistic: "Although we had a difficult year with many injuries, I believe that we have what it takes to stay in the league."
In any case, both clubs will bring a lot of fans to Schwaig and play in front of a big crowd.
“Then nerves definitely play a bit of a role.
But unfortunately it's a knockout game and we have to make fewer mistakes than our opponents to leave the field as winners," Apold knows.
