Formula 1: is the Monaco Grand Prix really in danger of extinction?

Its narrow and winding ways lined with rails.

Its 3.337 km along the port and in its inescapable tunnel.

Its VIPs propped up, champagne in hand, on the balconies overlooking the route.

The Monaco Grand Prix and its procession of images return to welcome the stars of Formula 1 for an extended Ascension weekend.

The tradition seems immutable and inescapable.

This year, the paddock has nevertheless taken up residence in the principality, in the wake of the Spanish Grand Prix disputed a week ago, with a nagging little question: will he see the principality again next year?
