Unrealistic situation: Killian Ambape disrupted Real Madrid's plans

The shirts printed with the number 7 and the Frenchman's name have already been destroyed and Benzema stated that he "does not deal with nonsense", but not necessarily that the champion of Spain and perhaps Europe will not benefit from the explosion of the deal.

How?

Real Madrid celebrates the 35th Spanish Championship in its history (Twitter, Real Madrid)

So Killian Ambape is not coming to Madrid, but Real is coming to Paris.

There is something ironic in the fact that the Champions League final was held in the city of the star who at the last minute broke the promise he had long made to President Florentino Perez, canceling the planned signing in the royal club uniform he lost this season in the Paris Saint-Germain uniform in the quarter-finals.

At least the battle against Liverpool will take place at the Stade de France, and not at the Park of the Princes, which was conquered a little over a decade ago by the Qatari regime as part of a particularly successful public relations project - because all the French presidents still alive put tremendous pressure on the striker to stay at the club.

Saint-Germain is still for some reason defined as the pride of France, even though it actually belongs to a hostile factor, and this delusional phenomenon deserves special sociological research.

Thus, the plans devised by Real Madrid for next season went awry, and all the white shirts that had already been printed with the number 7 and Ambape's name and were ready for sale, were sent to the bin.

What does the club need to do now in order to emerge stronger from the adventure and build the team right, both in the immediate term and for the future?

It's unhealthy for Real to be enslaved to a star on one.

1. Do not whine

Ambape's conduct was indeed problematic to say the least, but Peres' obsession with pursuing him was bizarre in itself.

There is no reason to concentrate on one specific player, talented as he may be, and trust that he will become the ultimate symbol of the club even before signing a contract.

In fact, it is unhealthy for Real, or any other club, to be enslaved to a star on one, because the team spirit is harmed by it automatically and no orderly professional decisions can be made.

Real could be stronger and more sturdy without Ambape, without the circus that would have necessarily accompanied him throughout his tenure at Madrid.

She must in no way whine, talk about insult and betrayal and transmit weakness.

This would be absurd behavior, because in the bottom line Ambape does not owe Real anything, and his name should be immediately removed from the agenda.

It's just not relevant anymore and there's no reason to keep talking about it for even one more minute.

As Karim Benzema stated this week: "We are preparing for the Champions League final, I do not have time for nonsense."

This is the right approach.

A lot of what Real was interested in over the years did not end in signing, and the club continued to exist excellently without them.

Ambape is the newcomer to the list, and not beyond.

Howls damage Real's image and gnaw at her self-esteem.

She is the champion of Spain, wants to return to being European champion - and these are her two goals next season as well.

The new face of the club?

2. To convey the right message to Vinicius

Ambape's obsession began with Peres a long time ago, back in 2017.

He was particularly eager to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer and was willing to pay exorbitant sums for that in view of the club's financial situation.

So, in the summer of 2021, there was some professional justification for this, because Vinicius was considered an extremely young and unstable player, and his acceptance into the Frenchman was ridiculous.

No more.

In the year since, the status of the Brazilian who provided a dream season has greatly improved.

With 21 goals and 20 assists in all frames and quality performances on an almost weekly basis, he is already set as a big star in his own right, on his way to continuing to soar to become a true superstar.

After four years in the Spanish capital, he feels about like a home player and that is how he should be treated.

On paper, there is no reason why it should not gradually become the face of the club - the role destined for Ambape.

He is already there, doing his maximum, his demeanor exemplary and he deserves all the praise and compliments.

The fact that a new superstar was destined to play in his slot did not contribute to his self-confidence to say the least, but he dealt with the issue respectfully.

Now that the danger of Ambape's arrival has passed, Real must make it clear to Vinicius: "You are our man for many years to come, and the building of staff in the coming years will be tailored to you."

Recent rumors about Real's alleged interest in Raphael Liao, Milan's rogue hero, are really not helpful in this regard.

In fact, Rodrigo has also made a very significant leap this season and is known to have very large shares in victories over Chelsea and especially over Manchester City on the way to the Champions League final.

It, too, should be an integral part of short- and long-term plans.

When it comes to wingers, Real have no problems.

You could already see how heavy the price was without it.

Sign a serious backup for Benzema

Where is the problem?

In the role of central striker.

Benzema is Real's biggest star these days, and so will he next season, but he will celebrate his 35th birthday on December and should in no way be worn out as Carlo Ancelotti did without choice.

The Champions League final will be the Frenchman's 45th game in the squad this season, and he will not be able to continue to function at that pace for long.

The price Real will pay for his absence could easily be seen in the 4-0 defeat in the Clásico.

In short, the existing situation is completely wrong.

It's time to admit the grave mistake of signing Luca Jovic, to put up with a waste of 70 million euros paid for his teachings and sell him at a loss this summer.

In his place, a very high-quality central striker should be signed who would agree to serve as a backup to Benzema, assuming he might inherit it at some point, when the Frenchman eventually leaves.

Ambape, by the way, would not have solved this issue at all, she does not like to play as a classic number 9.

Amin Guiri, the 22-year-old star of Nice, may be excellent for this role - what’s more he is a Frenchman of Algerian descent who grew up and started his career in Lyon.

Darwin Nunez, Benfica's Uruguayan scorer who has bombed 34 goals in all competitions this season, may be a little too expensive, but at 22 he is a high-potential option - and will not face language and adaptation problems like Jovic.

It is also possible to bring home Raúl de Thomas, a graduate of the academy who has never been given a fair chance, but has proven himself above and beyond wherever he has been since.

With 17 goals in the Espanyol uniform, a team that focuses mainly on defense, he is in full swing - and he is only a 27-year-old player.

In short, there is no shortage of alternatives.

Only one of them needs to be implemented for the staff to be balanced.
