Ambape's conduct was indeed problematic to say the least, but Peres' obsession with pursuing him was bizarre in itself.

There is no reason to concentrate on one specific player, talented as he may be, and trust that he will become the ultimate symbol of the club even before signing a contract.

In fact, it is unhealthy for Real, or any other club, to be enslaved to a star on one, because the team spirit is harmed by it automatically and no orderly professional decisions can be made.

Real could be stronger and more sturdy without Ambape, without the circus that would have necessarily accompanied him throughout his tenure at Madrid.

She must in no way whine, talk about insult and betrayal and transmit weakness.

This would be absurd behavior, because in the bottom line Ambape does not owe Real anything, and his name should be immediately removed from the agenda.

It's just not relevant anymore and there's no reason to keep talking about it for even one more minute.

As Karim Benzema stated this week: "We are preparing for the Champions League final, I do not have time for nonsense."

In the year since, the status of the Brazilian who provided a dream season has greatly improved.

With 21 goals and 20 assists in all frames and quality performances on an almost weekly basis, he is already set as a big star in his own right, on his way to continuing to soar to become a true superstar.

Now that the danger of Ambape's arrival has passed, Real must make it clear to Vinicius: "You are our man for many years to come, and the building of staff in the coming years will be tailored to you."

Recent rumors about Real's alleged interest in Raphael Liao, Milan's rogue hero, are really not helpful in this regard.

In fact, Rodrigo has also made a very significant leap this season and is known to have very large shares in victories over Chelsea and especially over Manchester City on the way to the Champions League final.

It, too, should be an integral part of short- and long-term plans.

Sign a serious backup for Benzema

Darwin Nunez, Benfica's Uruguayan scorer who has bombed 34 goals in all competitions this season, may be a little too expensive, but at 22 he is a high-potential option - and will not face language and adaptation problems like Jovic.

It is also possible to bring home Raúl de Thomas, a graduate of the academy who has never been given a fair chance, but has proven himself above and beyond wherever he has been since.

With 17 goals in the Espanyol uniform, a team that focuses mainly on defense, he is in full swing - and he is only a 27-year-old player.

In short, there is no shortage of alternatives.

Only one of them needs to be implemented for the staff to be balanced.
