F1: Ferrari complains against Red Bull drivers in Monaco

The Ferrari team lodged a complaint on Sunday at the end of the Monaco Formula 1 GP against the two Red Bull drivers - race winner Sergio Pérez and Max Verstappen - whom it accuses of a contentious maneuver to the detriment of its pilots.

Verstappen, third in the race, and Pérez would thus have crossed the yellow line at the exit of the pits during the race, gaining a precious advantage over the Spaniard Carlos Sainz, second in the GP and his teammate, the Monegasque Charles Leclerc, who failed at the foot of the podium.

If the marshals ruled in favor of the Scuderia by inflicting a 5-second penalty on the Red Bulls, Sergio Pérez could then lose his victory and Max Verstappen his podium.

Carlos Sainz would thus sign the first victory of his career on the green carpet and Charles Leclerc would recover second place in “his” Grand Prix.

In addition, Leclerc and Verstappen, the current championship leader, would find themselves level on points overall, with 122 points each.
