First ball training for the Blues

At Clairefontaine where they are reunited before their four Nations League matches, Deschamps' men were treated to an intense session.

Didier Deschamps' troupe trained for the first time with the ball this Sunday at Clairefontaine.

23 players have been gathered at the headquarters of the France team since this Saturday, while waiting on Monday for the arrival of Karim Benzema, winner of the Champions League against Liverpool this weekend.

The Internationals must play four League of Nations matches between June 3 and 13, including the first against Denmark at the Stade de France.

After cycling on Saturday and a physical session this Sunday morning, the Blues therefore touched the ball for the first time for more than an hour and a half in the coolness of Clairefontaine.

Some haven't played competitively for two weeks, like the Bayern Munich players, and all have shown they have juice.

After a warm-up session on the lawn of the Pierre-Pibarot stadium, led by voice by Guy Stéphan, the first deputy of the A, and mainly technical (controls, juggling), two teams engaged in an opposition of more than 'one o'clock.

In yellow, Digne, Saliba, Koundé, Lucas Hernandez, Kamara, Rabiot, Kanté, Diaby, Coman and Mbappé first faced on a half-pitch the blues of Pavard, Varane, Kimpembe, Claus, Theo Hernandez, Tchouaméni, Guendouzi , Nkunku, Griezmann and Ben Yedder.

The three goalkeepers - Lloris, Maignan, Areola - were each in a goal, one of which was posted on the side.

The match, still refereed by Deschamps from the sidelines, continued on a larger pitch, without Areola who was entitled to a separate session to finish.

The tricolor workforce put rhythm and intensity into this exercise.

Leaving the lawn, Mbappé worried about Rafael Nadal's score at Roland-Garros.

" He won ?

asked the striker.

"Two sets to one, for now," replied a staff member.

“We are recovering well, there is another session tomorrow,” concluded the coach.

This Monday, the Blues will be complete at the Château and will train at 5.30 p.m.
