Munich/Tampere - Russia and Canada have each won the Ice Hockey World Championship 27 times.

This Sunday evening (from 7.15 p.m.) Canada can leave behind Russia, which was excluded from this year's World Cup as a result of the Ukraine war.

With a 6-1 win against Germany, the Czech Republic, the Canadian national team made it through to the final again.

The final of the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championships will be Finland versus Canada for the third time in a row.

In 2020 the World Cup was canceled entirely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
