The first round of the DFB Cup has been drawn.

FC Bayern is a guest in Cologne, Borussia Dortmund is playing at TSV 1860 Munich.

Update from May 29, 8:05 p.m .: Conclusion:

Round 1 is scheduled for the weekend of July 29th to August 1st.

Leipzig and Bayern will only enter the competition in September because both clubs are hosting the DFL Supercup at the same time on July 30th.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund is a guest at TSV 1860 Munich.

Both clubs share a close fan friendship.

Munich/Dortmund – All views of the German Football Museum in Dortmund: The first round of the DFB Cup will be drawn at this symbolic location this Sunday evening (from 7.15 p.m.) – broadcast by the ARD sports show.

The lots will be drawn by a Dortmund original: world champion Kevin Großkreutz, who used to play for BVB and VfB Stuttgart.

In 2014, the now 33-year-old won the World Cup with Germany in Brazil.

Grosskreutz will assist DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth tonight, who will monitor the draw for all the correct rules.

The show will be moderated by Stephanie Müller-Spirra.

DFB Cup draw: The FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund lots are in great demand

As always, the tickets for FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are particularly popular with the lower-class clubs.

Eleven clubs from the regional league have qualified for the first round of the DFB Cup, plus seven clubs from the fourth-rate Oberliga.

They all have home rights and are hoping for a full house against one of the Bundesliga teams.

RB Leipzig won the DFB Cup 2021 against SC Freiburg a week ago.

The Saxons prevail against the Badeners with one man less 5: 3 after penalties.
