The one on Sunday night was not only Marcelo's last at the Bernabéu.
It was also the last night for Isco, who at 30 years old and with a post on Instagram says goodbye after nine seasons in the white shirt.
He was 21 years old when he arrived at Chamartín.
He has won five Champions Leagues, four Club World Cups, three Leagues, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.
In his farewell message he wrote this: “When I was at Málaga and I knew I had to leave, I made a commitment to another team.
But Real Madrid knocked on my door and you can't and shouldn't say no to Real Madrid, although there are always exceptions”.
The references to Kylian Mbappé and his refusal to play in the white shirt are clear in his message.
Isco even added the turtle icon.
The midfielder adds: “I remember telling my people: damn, Madrid hasn't won the Champions League for many years and I have a feeling it's about to fall... and the Décima has arrived.
Everything that comes after is history."
He also says that he passed it on “from a fucking mother”.
He thanked the help and affection of teammates and coaches and revealed a detail of the team's celebrations this Sunday.
“Yesterday I was telling a friend that I didn't understand why they were collecting in Cibeles, if the 15 [the fifteenth Champions League] is on its way”.
