Vettel angry after Formula 1 drama in Monaco: "Just bad"

Sebastian Vettel earned a point at the Monaco Grand Prix but wasn't satisfied after the Formula 1 race in the Principality.

Monaco - Sebastian Vettel's dry spell is over, not only because of the rainy weather in Monaco.

Vettel finished in the points for the second time this season, even if he had to settle for one point.

However, Vettel could not be happy after the classic in Formula 1.

The tires in particular upset the four-time world champion.

The race was postponed by more than an hour due to heavy rain showers.

Ultimately, the start was behind the safety car.

Vettel struggled, slipping away in turn one and falling behind Esteban Ocon and Valtteri Bottas.

After only seven laps, Vettel came into the pits and got the softer intermediates.

"We then had to try something, but unfortunately the undercut wasn't that effective either," Vettel explained the strategy.

Vettel's performance on the rain tires may have contributed to the decision.

“I found it very difficult on the rain tires, they were just extremely slow.

They are way too hard for this track and even for Imola they were too hard.

It's just a bad tire,” complains the man from Heppenheim.

For Vettel, the higher safety standards today or the rain forecast are not responsible for the delayed start.

“I can remember days when we could have raced here.

But that's impossible with these tires,” he says with certainty.

The next street circuit is on the Black Sea.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku begins on June 12 at 1 p.m. German time.
