FC Barcelona rents out its stadium to fans to raise additional funds.

Is this how you finance the transfer of Robert Lewandowski?

Barcelona - His announcement was clear: "My story at Bayern is over," said Robert Lewandowski recently at a press conference of the Polish national team.

So that means: The super striker wants to leave Munich, preferably immediately!

And where should the journey go?

Sure, to FC Barcelona.

Robert Lewandowski

Born: August 21, 1988 (Age: 33 years old), Warsaw, Poland

centre-forward

Contract with FC Bayern Munich until: June 30, 2023

Market value: 50 million euros

FC Barcelona sinks into debt: Lewandowski transfer could fail due to lack of money

The proud Catalan club have been the hottest contenders for a Lewandowski signing for months.

The problem from the Blaugrana point of view: the money!

Because that's what Barca have been missing for a long time.

1.35 billion euros in liabilities are a stunner.

It is correspondingly complicated to sign Lewandowski.

In Spain there is a kind of mud fight, the league boss and the FCB president attacked each other.

The core message of this dispute: FC Barcelona needs money.

Preferably fast and preferably a lot.

Of course, the easiest way would be to sell prominent players for a high price.

Then you could hire other, new players.

But the Catalans are also using other levers to generate income.

And they are extremely creative: Barca are now renting out their stadium to recreational footballers!

Barcelona rents out the stadium: do amateur footballers now pay for the Lewandowski transfer?

No kidding: The legendary Camp Nou, scene of countless epic football moments, is available for hire from 6th to 11th June for everyone.

Hobby footballers can then claim to have played at the Camp Nou.

Where Ronaldinho, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi once performed magic.

How does the kick work in the legendary ambience?

For 300 euros per participant, the sacred turf can be entered: 15 minutes to warm up, followed by a game of two times 30 minutes.

A subsequent visit to the club museum is included, as are electrolyte drinks, a walk through the players' tunnel and a referee.

"Your dream can come true," the club wrote on its website.

It is quite possible that the offer will find a number of buyers.

But whether such a Robert Lewandowski can be financed?

FC Bayern Munich is said to have already received an offer of 30 million euros.

At €300 per participant, Barca would need 100,000 amateur footballers who want to play at the Camp Nou between June 6th and 11th to raise this sum.

That could be tight.
