In the last relegation game for the district league, SC Kirchdorf meets SV Menning.

Above all, the Apold team has to watch out for two brothers who are dangerous in goal.

Kirchdorf

– Only one win against SV Menning separates SC Kirchdorf from staying in the second district league.

For SCK trainer Andreas Apold and his team it is already the third relegation game this season.

The first duel against Moosinning II was lost 1:2 on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Kirchdorfer defeated TSV Nandlstadt just as narrowly with 3:2 goals.

"The win against Nandlstadt was deserved in the end," says Apold.

“We didn't manage to get into the duels again at the beginning and rightly fell behind twice because we slept.

But after that the team showed a good reaction, created a lot of chances to score and dominated the second half.” Samuel Nierhaus, Felix Zeilmaier and Daniel Schuhmann secured progress with their goals.

The steep rise of SV Menning

The SCK opponent on Friday suffered a 1-0 defeat against TSV Baar-Ebenhausen a week earlier.

On Tuesday against Türk SV Pfaffenhofen, Menning clearly won 4:2.

Similar to Kirchdorf, SVM was 0-1 behind, but Cem Knupfer, double goal scorer Simon Wolfsfellner and Johannes Boyer turned the game around.

As a result, the district classist is only one victory away from marching through to the district league.

Menning was only promoted to district class 1 in the 2019/21 season.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

There, the team of successful coach Richard Ott caused a sensation from the start.

After an opening defeat against Gelbelsee, Menninger remained undefeated in seven games and won six of them.

Then there were two more defeats and six wins before the winter break.

In spring, the climber could only be defeated once and deservedly secured second place in the table.

Coach Apold demands full concentration

On the one hand, the two Wolfsfellner brothers guarantee success.

Philip and Simon scored 40 of the 63 goals this season.

On the other hand, the SVM had the best defense in district class 1 with only 25 goals. "We have to make sure that we are compact against Menning and get into the duels from the start," demands SCK trainer Apold.

"To do that, we must try to keep the Wolfsfellner brothers in check.

We have to work fully concentrated against that.

And when we have the ball, we have to force our game on them and see that we can get through on the outside and create a goal threat."
