Five years after his departure from Lyon to Arsenal, for 53 M€, Alexandre Lacazette, 31, will return to Lyon, according to information from the Team.
The announcement is imminent, with the two parties appearing to have agreed on salary terms.
Lacazette accepted salary conditions much lower than those he enjoyed at Arsenal.
The fourth scorer in the history of OL with 129 goals in 275 games, would have agreed to halve his London salary valued at more than 10 million euros a year.
The Arsenal captain, at the end of his contract with the Gunners, who had made it a condition that OL play in a European Cup, finally lowered his requirements in this regard.
Contact between OL and Lacazette dates back to the end of autumn, when the international striker (16 caps, 3 goals) was going through a good period.

Mid-May at a press conference, Jean-Michel Aulas, had expressed his desire to bring the striker back, seeing it as a form of return to OL's DNA.
Former top scorer with 27 goals and best player in Ligue 1 in 2015, voted Arsenal's best player in 2018-2019, Lacazette had a less favorable 2021-2022 season, with only 4 goals scored in the Premier League.
During the second half of the season, Lacazette also lost his starting spot to Eddie Nketiah in the last games of the season.
At Arsenal, Lacazette himself was behind the departure of Olivier Giroud in January 2018.
However, OL were not insensitive to the former Lyonnais' leadership position within the Gunners, especially with young Arsenal players such as Saka, Smith-Rowe, Odegaard and Martinelli.
In terms of record, the Lyonnais, who played in a Europa League final in 2019 (lost 4-1 to Chelsea), won the 2020 FA Cup, at the expense of neighbors Chelsea (2-1).
