An unpleasant event was recorded tonight (Friday) in the match between Rafael Nadal and Sasha Zebrav in the Roland Garros semi-final.
In a 6: 7 (8), 6: 6 win for Nadal, the German fell, injured his ankle and started screaming in pain and crying.
Very quickly a medical team arrived at the scene who treated him and evacuated him from the field in a wheelchair.
From there the German only repeated crutches to shake hands with Judge Valendal and announce he had retired.

Sasha's brother, Misha, who serves as a commentator at Eurosport Germany, took the incident hard of course and said: "Sasha never cries. Something bad must have happened, it's impossible. The ankle is finished. He was hit at a very bad angle and couldn't get up, he really screamed in pain ".
Nadal himself, who looked shocked by the events, said: "I know how much he fought to win the Grand Slam. He was particularly unlucky. I'm sure he will win more than one Grand Slam and I wish him all the best. It was a very tough game, three hours and we did not even finish "The second set. He's one of the most challenging players in the round today when he plays at such a high level. It's hard to say too much in this situation."
