Hansi Flick is bursting with self-confidence: the national coach wants to “clinch four wins” in the coming days
Update from June 4, 6:43 p.m .:
Before the Nations League game in Italy tonight, national coach Hansi Flick was very optimistic.
"Winning is good for our self-confidence.
We're hoping for four wins," said the 57-year-old ahead of the two games against Italy, England and Hungary.
The motivation should be high, the first in the group moves into the Final Four tournament and can secure the Nations League title in October.
First report from June 4th:
Bologna - The German national team starts 170 days before the World Cup in Qatar with a tough program in preparation.
Hansi Flick's team has to play in the Nations League group four times within a few days, first against Italy, then against England and Hungary and then the second leg against the Italians.
On Saturday evening, the two-week preparation of the DFB team culminates in a guest appearance in Bologna (live on TV and in the stream).

Flick celebrates a small anniversary at the game in Italy.
The 57-year-old is going into his tenth game as national coach, he has won eight of his nine games on the touchline so far, only drawing 1-1 against the Netherlands.
"We're all happy that it's finally starting," said Flick before his team left.
“We had good preparation in Marbella and now in Herzogenaurach.
We are happy to start now.
We are all motivated,” said the former Bayern Munich coach.

Italy recently missed the World Cup: Squadra Azzurra wants to recover from the next defeat
The starting position is anything but clear against the reigning European champions.
The Italian national team missed the World Cup at the end of March after a 1-0 home defeat against North Macedonia and only lost 3-0 to Argentina in London on Wednesday.
"We expect that we are very focused, that we are active, that we try to put the opponent under pressure," said Flick, who doesn't want to concentrate on the opponent but on his eleven.
In the 36,000-seat Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, the German team has the chance to start the competition with three points.
In view of the difficult Nations League group and the World Cup in November, a win in the first game after the end of the season would be an advantage - not least for self-confidence.
