The Roland-Garros junior tournament remains French property: Gabriel Debru, 16, won the final on Saturday against Belgian Gilles Arnaud Bailly, 7-6 (7/5), 6-3.
The young Grenoble native succeeds Luca Van Assche, winner last year of the tournament reserved for the under 18s.
Debru is the youngest winner since a certain Holger Rune, a surprise guest in the quarters of the senior table this week after knocking down world No.4 and outgoing finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Unlike Van Assche, the Isérois has a major asset: his 1.94 meters.
