Tolisso explains Bayern Aus: Nagelsmann wanted to keep him, but the club management was against it

Corentin Tolisso is leaving Bayern Munich in the summer.

Munich – Corentin Tolisso's future had been speculated for a long time, and it has been clear since Monday (May 30): The Frenchman is leaving FC Bayern after five years, some of which were difficult.
In an interview, he now hinted that the decision to leave was not made by coach Julian Nagelsmann.
The Frenchman also explained why he wasn't given the same ceremonial farewell as some other players.

Tolisso criticizes the management of the club after leaving FC Bayern – and protects Nagelsmann
Tolisso spoke to
the French sports daily
L'Équipe about the end of his time in Munich.
The 27-year-old indicated that not everyone at the club was against his whereabouts.
As the midfielder reported, Nagelsmann is said to have been a great supporter, he stood up for his player.
"There is the opinion of the coach, but there is also the opinion of those responsible," said Tolisso - alluding to the club's management.
This was apparently against a contract extension with the injury-prone French international.
He further noted: "I don't think the manager has had enough clout in that context to say he wants to keep that player.
And I understand that decision.”
Tolisso didn't know about his future for a long time - injuries probably played a role
The former 41.5 million euro purchase also criticized the way of communication.
As he said in the interview published on Wednesday, he had agreed with those responsible that he "would not receive a bouquet of flowers like Süle in the last game".
At that point in time, he said he "didn't yet know about FC Bayern's decision".
According to his own statement, he didn't know how things would continue for him at the last home game against Stuttgart on May 8th.
Tolisso explained: "I hadn't heard anything for three weeks, I asked my agent to call her and the decision was made." He was able to play his last game with Bayern in front of his family, that was "the most important thing". .
A few weeks before his last assignment for FC Bayern, he had torn his second muscle fiber within a few weeks, which probably sealed his end at the end of his contract.
"I think that played a role," said Tolisso in retrospect.
