First the game was abandoned in Rohrbach, then the bitter defeat in the repeat kick: SC Kirchdorf missed chances en masse against Menning and was relegated.

Allershausen

– SC Kirchdorf is relegated from the district league after three seasons.

A 1-0 defeat against SV Menning in the replay of the third round of relegation finally sealed SCK's fate.

For coach Andreas Apold, the decisive game in Allershausen was a reflection of the whole season.

Because his team could have won against Menning on Saturday afternoon – in fact, they should have.

Just like the day before, when referee Rico Spyra stopped the game in Rohrbach at half-time because Kirchdorf was 2-0 because it was supposedly dark, the SCK offensive with Samuel Nierhaus and Thomas Hadler worked right away.

Unfortunately, this time without scoring.

Hadler missed the first opportunity after Nierhaus had laid his heel down (3').

Again Hadler hastily missed a cross pass from Andreas Abstreiter (15th) on the fifth and thus the huge opportunity to take the lead.

Nierhaus also had this on his foot when he was already past keeper Eric Jung and a player scraped his shot off the line (34th).

Header arc lamp to the decisive 1:0

Menning also played well forward, but needed some time before Moritz Schüren (39') made the first shot, whose attempt at a corner was blocked.

But the district class player stayed hungry – and so, after a cross from Johannes Boyer, a header from Maximilian Lex led the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 1-0 (39th).

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Little changed after the change of sides.

SC Kirchdorf was optically superior and had a chance plus.

Menning withdrew and tried to get offensive on points, which was limited to set pieces and long-range shots.

Simon Wolfsfellner (52nd) and Moritz Mayerhofer (66th) aimed over the Kirchdorfer Tor.

The SCK players, on the other hand, fought a duel with SVM keeper Jung: he saved Thomas Kittl's long-range shot safely (65'), grabbed the shot from Andreas Abstreiter in the follow-up (71') and defused a Michael Fischer header with a reflex ( 84.).

In the 86th minute, Hadler's last double chance fell flat when his 20-yard shot was deflected off the crossbar and his header went wide.

So it stayed at 1:0 for SV Menning, who made the march from the A class to the district league perfect.

"If you don't score the goals, then it's your own fault to a certain extent"

SCK trainer Andreas Apold was stunned after the defeat: "We almost play for a goal, we don't manage to make a goal out of countless chances and concede a goal out of nowhere." The big but: "If you score the goals If you don't do that, then it's your own fault to a certain extent”, admitted the second department head, Stefan Lohmeier.

Of course, the Kirchdorfer camp also struggled with the abandonment of the game on Friday, when the referee should have started the game again from their point of view.

The question arose as to how such a game could be awarded to an organizer without floodlights.
