The Argentinian midfielder, who still has a year of contract in Paris, has no intention of leaving PSG this summer.

There is no rush to leave PSG.

After Danilo and Mauro Icardi, it's Leandro Paredes' turn to announce his intention to play again at PSG next season.

On vacation in his country, the Argentinian gave an interview to Radio La Red on Monday where he was very clear about his summer intentions.

"I'm staying at PSG next season", launched the 27-year-old midfielder, who is nevertheless part, according to our information, of a list of players from whom Paris could offload during the next transfer window.

Under contract until 2023, the player took advantage of this interview to take stock of the Parisian season, evoking “a difficult year at PSG” “It was not easy for Messi either.

In recent months, he is much better.

I hope he starts the season in the best possible way,” Paredes explained of his compatriot who arrived a year ago.

He also welcomed the extension of Kylian Mbappé, a “very important” player.

I had hoped that he would stay and it finally happened.

A year 2022 polluted by injuries

Leandro Paredes has not played since the meeting between PSG and Lorient (5-1) in early April.

Victim of pubalgia, the Argentinian was operated on and missed the entire end of the Parisian season.

His year 2022 is currently polluted by injuries.

Paredes had missed three meetings (Nantes, Saint-Étienne, Nice) between the two matches of the knockout stages of the Champions League against Real Madrid for adductor problems.

He was also unable to play his national team's European tour in early June, even though he was present at the gathering of Lionel Messi and his partners to continue his recovery.

He thus descended on the lawn of Wembley to celebrate the victory (3-0) of the Albiceleste against Italy a week ago.
