Maccabi Tel Aviv recently rejected an application from Belgian champions Club Brugge, who wanted to enter into negotiations to acquire striker Dor Turgeman.

The Belgian luxury club wants the 18-year-old Turgeman, a pioneer of Maccabi Tel Aviv and the youth team.

Turgeman finished the season in the national league on loan to Betar Tel Aviv Bat Yam and for the past two weeks has been training with Mladen Krestic, who intended to build on him for next season as a senior player as he did with Oscar Gluch.

Club Brugge followed Turgeman in the Israeli national team uniform and submitted a purchase offer, which was rejected by Maccabi Tel Aviv, because in Kiryat Shalom they want to enjoy Turgeman and are convinced that they will sell him in the future for a much higher amount than the Belgians are willing to pay now.

Turgeman belongs to the youth team that is on its way to France for training games and later this month will play in the European Youth Championship.

The professional manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Barak Yitzhaki, has a lot of young talent and is expected to keep him on the roster for next season so that he can fight for minutes of play against the senior strikers in the team.
