The DFB team will wear a new jersey in the Nations League game against England in Munich.

This has to do with the European Championship for women.

Munich – Germany vs. England: This Tuesday evening (8.45 p.m., here in the live ticker) is the football classic in Munich.

Nations League, League A, Group 3, 2nd matchday - the DFB team of national coach Hansi Flick and the "Three Lions" compete in the arena in Fröttmaning in the north of the Isar metropolis.

And: The German national team has a surprise in store.

Specifically: The DFB men will wear the jerseys of the German soccer players against runners-up England in order to promote their upcoming European Championship (July 6th to 31st, 2022) on the island.

The team of national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg meets Denmark, Spain and Finland in the preliminary round matches at the European Championships in England.

Annette Seitz, spokeswoman for the DFB women, spoke of a "double pass": "It's a small greeting from our men's team to all of us that we support each other and that it's a football."

National goalkeeper Merle Frohms from Eintracht Frankfurt said of the planned action: "It's definitely a nice sign." Last year, the women played against Chile in the black European Championship jerseys to set an example before the men's European Championship .

Jersey of the DFB team: Bayern stars wear the dress of the German women on Instagram

In an Instagram video by the German Football Association (DFB), national players Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry (FC Bayern Munich) and Kai Havertz (FC Chelsea London) are jubilantly wearing the jersey of the DFB women, from whose squad players are also shown.

"That's what you wear this summer.

That's what you wear in England," says the video, referring to the 2022 women's European Football Championship.

At the 2017 European Championship, the DFB women failed in the quarter-finals against Denmark (1: 2), at the 2019 World Cup in France it was also the last stop in the quarter-finals.
