Last week, the young Israeli team was still dependent on itself in securing second place in the home stage of the Euro 2023 qualifying campaign until the age of 21, but the disappointing 1-0 loss to Latvia in the penultimate round, in coach Guy Luzon's re-debut, led to Israel needing a stumble. Poland in a home game against Germany - a team that they won 0: 4 in the previous meeting between them.
