Lewandowski continues to push Bayern farewell: "Where is there loyalty and respect?"

A joint solution, but in his interest: Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern demands that. And warns: If the club wants to put obstacles in his way, this could deter future additions.

There is a contract between Robert Lewandowski and FC Bayern Munich until 2023 – but on a personal level there is probably no basis for a cooperation beyond the summer of 2022.

The Polish world footballer made that clear during a podcast appearance in his home country.

In the podcast "WojewódzkiKędzierski" by "OnetSport", the 33-year-old renewed his desire to change.

"Something went dead inside me," said Lewandowski.

"It's something you can't just ignore, even if you want to be professional."

It's not about salary.

"I want new emotions in my life," said Lewandowski when asked whether a possible change was financially motivated.

FC Barcelona is the clear favorite to sign the attacker, but so far the Bayern bosses around President Herbert Hainer and CEO Oliver Kahn had insisted on the star striker fulfilling his contract.

Lewandowski apparently wants to keep the pressure on the club up with his statements.

Lewandowski is now calling for the club to make concessions again – also as a thank you for past achievements.

"What I have achieved thanks to Bayern and what Bayern have achieved thanks to me, I think after so many years it would be best to find a solution for both sides," said Lewandowski.

A unilateral decision makes no sense.

"Loyalty and respect are probably more important than this business," said the Pole.

Within the Bayern team, he would sometimes leave "close friends" behind.

He also couldn't imagine that FC Bayern really wanted to deny him a change this summer - if only because of the signal effect for future additions.

"For what reason?

What kind of player would still want to come to FC Bayern knowing that something like this could happen to him?

Where's the loyalty and respect?” Lewandowski asked rhetorically.

The German record champions are currently trying to sign Liverpool attacker Sadio Mané, who, unlike Lewandowski, is primarily used on the wing.

Hoeneß expects Lewandowski to stay

Bayern Honorary President Uli Hoeneß said on Monday that he assumed Lewandowski would stay.

"I think the new team is being worked on very intensively, and if everything comes up that you presented to me this week, then I see a good chance that we will have an attractive team next year - with Robert Lewandowski," said the 70-year-old TV station Sport1.

The former club president advocated urging the star striker to fulfill his contract, which runs until June 30, 2023, if there is no replacement for the Bundesliga record scorer.

"And then you have to see whether he'll go on a free transfer next year or maybe even be extended again, nobody knows that," said Hoeneß.
