The UAE national football team lost 2-1 to its Australian rival in the Asian play-off for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The goals of the Australian team were scored by Jackson Irvine and Eden Hirostic in the 53rd and 85th minutes of the match, while the UAE's only goal was scored by Caio Canedo in the 56th minute.
With this win, Australia qualified for the World Cup play-off match next Monday against Peru, which is ranked fifth in the South American qualifiers.
