A big farce.
The Israeli team has been detained at Ben Gurion Airport for more than two hours before its flight tonight (Wednesday) to Albania, due to being overweight on the players' plane.
Upon boarding the plane the problem became clear and the players were taken off the plane.
It is in fact a small plane, containing 80 seats, and is divided between the members of the Israeli delegation and the players and the GSS security guards who went with them to Albania.
As a result, there has been a delay in take-off and players are expected to land in Tirana only late at night.
Sources in the team told "Israel Today" that "this is a mistake in the weight assessment and are working to settle the issue soon so that the team can reach Albania safely."
It is important to note that the team held a morning training session today before leaving, in order to arrive as fresh as possible in Albania and there should not have been an evening training session.
The next practice is expected to be easy and take place tomorrow morning and then the concluding practice will be at the stadium where the game will take place on Friday.
