– Four goals in the first nine minutes – the FC Langengeisling soccer team really got off to a flying start.
In the end they won 6:1 (4:0) against SV Schechen - an impressive demonstration of power by the frontrunner against the third-placed team in the district league.
Now only one point is missing from the two remaining games for the championship.
"The girls just continued where they left off on Wednesday," recalled coach Stefan Karamatic of the 7-0 gala against SG Polling-Mühldorf.
"It was full throttle and the finest combinations," he enthused.
Claudia Neumair took the lead with the first attack.
Melli Schöffmann scored twice (2', 5') before Julia John scored her 26th goal of the season (9').
Even after that, the FCL dominated.
The double six with Lisa Mayer and Steffi Karamatic already intercepted counterattacks in the center and immediately switched to attack mode.
And what got through was ironed out by Moni Bichlmaier, Antonia Chowanietz, Maike Schmidtner and Becky Hawkins.
Only once, shortly after the restart, the defensive was not in the picture, which the guests used with a lob over keeper Celine Siebrecht to score a consolation goal.
Now the women from Geislingen increased the pace again.
Schöffmann played the ball into the aisle and John overcame guest goalkeeper Ramona Fischer to make it 5:1 (49th).
After that, the FCL created numerous other good chances, which Johanna Steinmaier, Michelle Refeld and Sophia Auer missed.
Both teams had to pay tribute to the high temperatures towards the end.
To make matters worse, the Schechen team weakened themselves through lack of discipline. First, the sovereign referee Christian Trompke Roth showed for Jule Marth (87th), then Jessica Marth conceded the traffic light card for repeated foul play (89th).
John set the last accent with the 6:1.
Karamatic: “That was another huge game.
Above all, I'm extremely proud that the team kept up the pace for so long despite the temperatures.” He had special praise for Thesi Widl, who first constantly caused danger on the right-hand side of attack and later initiated the attacks on the left-hand side of defence.
