The issue of appointing the coach to Bnei Sakhnin was long and complicated.
Contact and negotiations with Slobodan Drapic, rumors by Marco Belbul, but in the end, the team announced that Haim Sylves will continue for another season.
This morning (Wednesday), the team held a press conference together with Sylvester to explain the chain of events and mark goals for next season.
Sylvester was immediately asked about being a kind of default and said: "The road was an uncomfortable feeling. I try to be the most professional as a coach, without ego."
Sylves added: "I sat with the club and got everything I wanted. Am I a default? It's in the eye of the beholder. They may have wanted another coach and maybe it's unpleasant, but I sat with them, checked what was needed and got everything one hundred percent."
Asked about the fact that he managed to reach the top playoffs with Sakhnin this season, he said: "The success was not accidental and I thank the management for all the efforts they make. Sakhnin is in a good place, Doha is back to being a fortress. "The goal is to reach the top six."
