The SV Eurasburg-Beuerberg and the Sportfreunde Egling-Straßlach duel for the last free place in the district class.

Eurasburg/Egling – You both woke up very late.

Only in the final phase of the past season did SV Eurasburg-Beuerberg and Sportfreunde Egling-Strasslach show that they have what it takes for the district class.

After what is now definitely the last game of this season, one of the two will have to admit that the rebellion came too late.

Another parallel between the two opponents: They have shown appealing performances in the relegation so far, but ultimately were not able to assert themselves.

Now there is one last chance in a game on neutral ground: On Thursday evening from 6.30 p.m. SV Eurasburg-Beuerberg and Sportfreunde Egling will face each other in a competitive game in Holzkirchen for the third time this season.

Defeats in the first relegation round

Although the first round of relegation was lost, both coaches are optimistic for this all-or-nothing game.

"Losing on penalties is always bitter," says SF trainer Florian Buchner, who had little to complain about in the game of his team in the 5:7 thriller in Warngau.

Apart from the fact that she had failed to score a single goal in 120 minutes of play - because that would have meant relegation.

"But the mood is still very good." He is satisfied with the development of the team, said the Eglingen interim coach, who owes his job to the Sportfreunde's last appearance in Eurasburg.

After the 4-2 defeat at the end of April, Herbert Mühr made his coaching position available.

"Since the Weyarn game, we've gotten better from game to game," says Buchner.

ASC Geretsried more effective than Eurasburg

Felix Jung also states that "the atmosphere is really good", despite the two recent defeats (1:3, 0:3) against ASC Geretsried.

"It's a pity that it was 1: 6 overall, that definitely doesn't reflect the course of the game.

We were at least three halves much better than the result looks like,” says the SV coach.

“By our standards, those were two decent and very respectable games.” Jung admits that there was “a class difference” to the much more effective and experienced ASC.

Nevertheless, he evaluates the games for his team as "two steps forward".

The sports friends will not be taken lightly.

"But that's more our collar size," says the Eurasburger coach, who expects "a blatant game".

"It's gonna be hot

We will bet everything on victory.”

Felix Jung, coach of SV Eurasburg-Beuerberg

In terms of personnel, he hopes that Christian Martner, who scored twice for SV in the last meeting between the two opponents, will be available again at least for a short assignment after his lateral ligament injury.

With the Sportfreunde, Florian Dissinger and Thomas Edelmann are injured.

In return, goalscorers Maximilian Heinrich and Hubert Oberhauser are returning to the squad.

"It's our last chance, we just have to use it," says SF coach Buchner.

"We will do everything to win," promises SV coach Jung.
