Together with Casemiro and Toni Kroos, Modrić has formed one of the best midfield trios in the world for years.

The ball security of the two playmakers Modrić and Kroos was also decisive in the final win against Liverpool.

Modrić is also an important part of the national team, with 150 appearances he is Croatia's record player.

At the 2018 World Cup in Russia, he led the team to the final, where they lost 4-2 to France.

Modrić was awarded the best player of the tournament.

Croatia will face Belgium, Canada and Morocco in the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar this fall.

Mané change to Bayern still open

According to reports in the British media, Liverpool FC has also rejected a second offer from FC Bayern Munich for the Senegalese Sadio Mané.

The German record champion is said to have increased his first offer from 25 million to 30 million pounds including bonus payments, as reported by several newspapers.

This corresponds to a little more than 35 million euros.

This fee for the 30-year-old attacker should contain bonuses of up to 7.5 million euros.

The Premier League club from Liverpool, coached by Jürgen Klopp, still thinks the offer is too low and is particularly bothered by the fact that the conditions for the bonus payments offered are unrealistic, the media said.

The newspaper "The Times" wrote that Liverpool only wanted to enter into negotiations with the Munich-based company if there was a bid for 42.5 million pounds (about 50 million euros).

FC Bayern wants to offer Mané a three-year contract.

Boateng to Turkey?

Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avci has confirmed to Turkey's Anadolu Ajansi news agency that he is interested in Jerome Boateng.

His name "appeared", now the Turkish champions are dealing with the 33-year-old defender: "If the financial conditions are right, we would like to sign him," said Avci.

The 58-year-old won the first championship since 1984 with Trabzonspor last season.

Boateng has not yet commented on a possible transfer to Turkey.

Things were not going well for the 2014 world champion at his current club Olympique Lyon.

In his first year after leaving Bayern, the German made the starting XI in just twelve games.

According to »L'Équipe«, his relationship with head coach Peter Bosz is said to be strained.

Bale offered at Getafe

Just a week ago, Gareth Bale said goodbye to Real Madrid in a tweet.

Now he seems to have already chosen a new employer in a suburb of the Spanish capital: Getafe CF, table 15.

the first Spanish league.

'Someone might think this is a joke, but I spoke to his advisor 45 minutes ago.

And they offered it to us," said club president Ángel Torres at the presentation of the new jersey: "We have to discuss it with the coaching staff and the sporting leadership.

All good footballers are an option, everything is possible.«

Bale switched from Tottenham to Madrid in 2013 for around 100 million euros.

There he won three championships and five Champions League titles, to which he contributed some important goals.

Recently, however, he no longer played a role, in the past season the right winger only made seven short appearances.

Things went better with the Welsh national team.

A deflected Bale free-kick saw Wales win the play-off final against Ukraine on Sunday and qualify for a World Cup for the first time since 1958.

England, the USA and Iran are waiting there in Group B.
