The weather threw a spanner in the works for the BOL soccer team at TSV Eching on Sunday: the referee called off the guest game at TSV Neuried.
With the proven defensive tactics, the zebras wanted to get the last remaining point to stay up.
But after a shot from 35 meters the team was 1-0 down early on.
The 0:2, which was preceded by a clear handball, was disputed.
Shortly thereafter, the guests were really lucky when Neuried missed a hand penalty.
As a result, the Echinger women fought back, before the break Viktoria Schmidt converted a free kick directly into the lower left corner to make it 1:2.
First interrupted, then aborted
The second half was marked by thunderstorms.
In the 63rd minute the game was interrupted for a quarter of an hour for the first time.
The referee whistled the match again, but it was finally over in the 83rd minute: The referee decided to abandon the game because the view was too restricted.
"We both would have liked to have played the game to the end," said Zebras coach Jan Strehlow, who, however, showed understanding for the referee's move.
