It was nothing with the liberation in the very last game of the season: SV Raisting II could not eliminate a recurring deficit even against SG Oberau/Farchant.
Huglfing – Thomas Müller, coach of SV Raisting II, took the final whistle, absolutely motionless, with his arms crossed and a stony expression on his face.
Nothing came of the liberation in the very last game of the season.
The 0:3 defeat in the relegation game in Huglfing against SG Oberau/Farchant sealed the relegation to the A class.
The second team has not moved in these areas for more than 20 years - the SVR II was a regular guest in the district league for many years, in the 2009/2010 season the team even played in the district league.
"I would have liked to have won my last game," said Müller.
He stepped in as an interim coach in the fall and will no longer coach the second team.
"We didn't get relegated today," said Müller.
He referred to numerous games during the season in which the district classist sometimes unluckily, sometimes carelessly gave up points.
Yesterday's relegation duel "was the third bonus," said Müller.
In the previous round, SVR had the chance in two games against SV Söchering, but lost out.
Once again, the SVR was weakened by replacements, and in the afternoon Müller had to accept cancellations from players.
Raisting II misses three good chances, then suddenly the SG hits
The Raistingern's failure was once again the lack of exploitation of chances.
In the first half hour, the SVR missed three good opportunities.
Justin Steeg's shot after a wide diagonal pass was parried by SG goalkeeper John Keen (14').
Then Zeno Schwab shot over it from a promising position (17').
And finally, Steeg failed again when he headed past the goalkeeper, but the ball also flew wide of the box (32').
The SG was more consistent: Substitute Christoph Lössl scored the 1-0 (42nd) after going it alone.
The goal matched the current negative run: "There was a bit of a lack of classification," said Müller - and it hit.
In the second half, the SVR tried to build up pressure and also had a lot of ball possession, but the return was manageable.
A dangerous shot each from Matthias Schelle (48') and from Steeg (62') – that's it.
On the other side, SG player Lössl put the ball on the crossbar (79').
A little later, Paul Colorio made it 2-0 (82').
Raisting fought, more than one shot from Ludwig Huber, which the goalkeeper parried well (88th), didn't jump out.
Dominik Korthals scored the final score in stoppage time.
For the numerous young players in the squad, relegation is bitter, says Müller.
Department manager Florian Heinrizi tried to get the players back on their feet again on the pitch: Relegation “is not the end of the world”.
