All that was missing was them.

The Springboks, reigning world champions, will face the Blues next fall, just under a year from the 2023 World Cup and the opening match against New Zealand.

It is the only major opponent that the XV of France has not faced and beaten since the last World Cup in Japan in 2019. The French Federation, in fact, communicated this Thursday the names of the opponents of the players of Fabien Galthié during of the fall 2022 tour.

The recent winners of the Six Nations Tournament, authors of the Grand Slam, and All Blacks scorers on November 20 (40-25) in a boiling Stade de France, will play against Australia then South Africa and Japan during the November tour.

After a summer tour in Japan (July 2 and 9), the XV of France will therefore be opposed to the Brave Blossoms for the third time in the space of a few months.

In addition to the names of the next rivals of the selection, the FFR communicated the calendar for these three test matches in the fall.

After a duel against Australia on November 5 at the Stade de France, the teammates of Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack will challenge South Africa a week later, on November 12.

The clash against the Springboks world champions will be played at the Vélodrome stadium in Marseille while the match against Japan will be played on November 20 in Toulouse, at the Stadium, which has not hosted the Blues since November 12, 2016 and a great success against Samoa (52-8).
